This drawing was completed during a Drawing Salon at the National Art Gallery in DC. Over 30 participants each drew a section of the Shaw Memorial and the drawings were collaged to form a complete portrait of the relief as shown below. The different styles of each artist gave the final collage an amazing sense of dynamics that captured the motion of the regiment more so than the relief itself.
